Healing Anxiety 5 Min Meditation Script (Session 4 Of 6)

Welcome to this session for releasing anxiety. You will build an understanding that it is normal to have stressful feelings but holding on to these feelings is not beneficial to your physical or mental health.

So, get into a nice comfortable position somewhere you won't be disturbed. Please close your eyes.

Let's begin by taking a few breaths, inhaling deeply… and when you breathe out, blow out every last bit of air that you have in your lungs…

Then feel your body automatically fill back up with oxygen… breathe in as deep as you can…

Then let it go, relaxing into your seat.

Now, think of a moment that brought you anxiety, feeling in your body any changes that happen when you think about being anxious… now sit with these feelings as if you're sitting with your best friend… and say to these feelings, “It is ok to feel this way…”

Now, allow your body to feel whatever it needs to right now and you are just along for the ride…

You can take a deep breath in if you need to...

When you breathe out, you can imagine blowing away any stress from your life… as you honor your anxiety you are in turn letting it go… allowing it to move through you…

(Pause)

Now, witness your mind and how it is acting when you think of something that makes you anxious…

What kind of thoughts do you see going through your mind when you remember a time you were stressed… just watch these memories come and go like you watch a TV show...
